About us
Mission without frontiers is an independent evangelical work, based on the Bible.
It carries out its work in over 30 countries in Europe, Africa, Central and South America in mostly unreached areas.
It exists legally as an association according to the Swiss Civil Code, Art. 60-79, with headquarters in 3174 Thörishaus, Switzerland.
Our goal
The goal of the work is to spread the gospel:
- through biblical calendars (evangelistic devotional books)
- through outreaches
- through work among children
- through relief actions in prisons and catastrophe hit areas.
History
1923
Erino Dapozzo (1907-1974) testifies to saving faith found in Jesus Christ in the Picardy (France) where the family runs a construction business.
1927
The family settles in south of Paris.
1943
Erino Dapozzo is sentenced to death by a German military court, pardoned and sent to a concentration camp in the Saar region. Attempts to escape to Switzerland. Arrested. Deported again to Germany (Hamburg).
1945
Miraculous release and journey back home to his family in Switzerland (Belp). Banned from working in Switzerland. Expansion of missionary work in neighboring countries.
1973
Fredy Gilgen (1929-2016) takes over responsibility for the mission. The headquarters of the mission moves to Wichtrach, Bern, Switzerland
1993
First missionary assignment in Albania. The mission moves to Buchillon, Vaud, Switzerland
2003
Hanspeter Häni is appointed to the mission and takes over responsibility in 2004.
2013
Relocation of the mission headquarters to Thörishaus, Bern, Switzerland
2018
Eduard Schlecht joins the team.
2023
100 years of Mission without Frontiers. The LORD has done great things! To him alone be all the glory!
2025
The ministry continues with God’s help and under His leadership, supported and accompanied by many faithful missionary friends.
